Work Stress Therapy in NYC
What is Work Stress?
These four words go together, don’t they? “New York Work Stress.” Anyone living in New York City understands difficult commutes, expensive housing costs, and long work hours. There is even evidence that contact with crowds in areas of dense population can be stressful. Simply put, New Yorkers know stress.
When work supervisors, peers, and subordinates are productive, respectful, and friendly and work loads are reasonable, and the work content is meaningful – work can be fulfilling and bring down our stress. But, for most of us, they wouldn’t have to pay us to go if that was our work place.

Learn More about Work Stress
Work stress can be incredibly detrimental to our physical and mental health. Chronic stress responses can put you at risk for heart attacks, hypertension, anxiety, anger, and depression. If you experience the Sunday Night Blues, you’re likely stressed by Monday morning .
But it is not as though you can quit- and that brings on another stressor that is common to many of our work situations, a lack of choice or control. None of this sounds like all of the preaching of teachers and after-school specials that told you,
“We can be or do whatever we want,”
or “Do what makes you happy.”
Many of us don’t seem to have been fortunate enough to have those options.
So, what do you do? You can’t quit, you can’t change your work situation, and you can’t take the stress any longer.
