Seamus is a licensed clinical social worker as well as a certified school social worker and currently provides counseling for adolescents and young adults to assist in accessing their education along with support in receiving services with community resources. Additionally, Seamus worked in intensive outpatient and outpatient settings in the area of substance abuse as well as serving as a program director. He believes in a compassionate and collaborative approach rooted in evidence based practices of cognitive behavioral therapy along with mindfulness in identifying and reaching one’s goals.
Seamus is a psychotherapist at New York Behavioral Health practicing out of the Rockville Centre office. He completed his Master’s of Social Work at Stony Brook University. Seamus received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hofstra University with an emphasis on human development. Seamus has over 15 years experience working with clients from various age groups struggling with co-occurring disorders and substance abuse.
